Gyaru Shopping: dafuq?

One thing, I've noticed about the Gal Comm, is that we partake in a lot of shopping or "wishlist-ing."
wishlist-ing: the action of collecting photos of items we want or plan on buying for ourselves.

When we are able to buy the items we want or need, its called "retail therapy," "Sprees," or "Hauls." It makes us feel good. Like we're on top of the world. And we want to share the experience of our bounty with others.

And what happens? Gals flock to these pictures, tweets, posts, and vlogs, of apparent peacocking. As the sharer you feel a little bit "on top of the world" because of all the likes, comments, shares, and reblogs you get from sharing. Then you can't wait to do it all again.

Warning: Personal opinions and ramblings will happen after this. If you don't care about what I have to say, keep reading. If you're easily offend (i.e. a hater) i suggest one of the videos below in another post. You've been warned.

I will agree that feels pretty damn good to purchase something you've been lusting after for an extended period of time, but the withdrawls some people have is down right depressing.  Have you ever been on the Gal Sales LJ and witness people trying the haggle the price down for Japanese Gyaru Brand items? It's insulting to the seller, and the lurkers that are trying to make the purchase. And telling someone it's too expensive, when they've dropped 10-60% off the original price?! Give me a fucking break! We're not here to gouge our fellow sisters! We're here to find a deal!

I don't seem to have this problem as much as others. However, when I see an item that everything one is pinning over, I want to join in as well, just to appear "normal" in the community. But honestly, I'm the most pickiest person ever. And just because I see an interesting pair of Litas, doesn't mean need to whine for 150 characters about how I must have them and how broke I am. It's not like that for me.

Keeping up with the Jones'? I am I the Jones.

Honestly I can have whatever I want. My man promised that to me when we got married. I think because of my pickiness its easier on him, because if I want a high priced item, he's not required to get it that same day or week. It takes me weeks to finally decide on certain items (the only exception are junk food and fast food, to which I have a usual order). So my hubby is thankful, and I get what I want.

Something I just had to get off my chest. What are your thoughts on all this?
